The ingredients needed to make Cream of Mushroom Soup:
  1. Take Button mushrooms
  2. Take 1 red onion
  3. Prepare Crushed garlic (dont be stingy with them)
  4. Prepare Thyme
  5. Make ready White pepper
  6. Prepare Royco cubes/bullion
  7. Make ready 6 tablespoons all purpose flour
  8. Take to taste Salt
  9. Take Butter
  10. Get Vegetable oil
  11. Get Half a cup of milk or water
Instructions to make Cream of Mushroom Soup:
  1. Chop the onions, slice the mushrooms and crush the garlics and keep aside
  2. In a pan, pour some oil and add a few mushrooms. Let them cook for 6-8 mins until they are golden brown then keep aside. These are for garnishing.
  3. In the same pan. Add a little oil then add butter. Once melted add the mushrooms and onions. Let them cook for 6 mins till they atart turning brown
  4. Ad the garlic and stir for a few minutes
  5. Add the half a teaspoon of white pepper and thyme and stir.
  6. Add some water and rocyo cubes and stir. Wait till the water evaporates.
  7. Add the flour and stir continuously to avoid forming lumps.then add milk or water. Keep stiring to to make a thick soup.
  8. Add a table spoon of garlic and keep stirring.let it simmer for 5 mins as you stir
  9. Switch of the fire and pour the thick soup in a blender and blend then return the thick soup to the same pot.
  10. Cook for a min or 2 then serve the soup. Garnish with the mushrooms.
