  6. Make ready C. Sauce - Mixed & Combined
  7. Prepare 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  8. Get 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  9. Get 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  10. Take 2 tsp sesame oil
  11. Prepare 1 1/2 C water
  12. Take D. Sautéed
  13. Take 1/4 C cooking oil
  14. Make ready 1 tbsp FINELY JULLIENED Ginger
  15. Get E. Seasonings
  16. Get 1 tbsp sugar
  17. Prepare 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp chicken seasoning powder

Pan fried the fish with a little olive oil in a non-stick pan till both sides are lightly browned and cooked. Saute garlic, chilli padi, salted black beans and fermented soybean with the remnant of the olive oil in the pan till fragrant. Add the black beans and fry for another minute. Pour the sauce over the fish pieces, garnish.

Steps to make Fried Fish in Salted Black Beans:
  1. Recreating one of our favourite childhood canned food, 'Fried Dace with Salted Black Beans'. Use Dace or small fresh Sardine fish. Clean and remove heads.
  2. A - Rub sardines with turmeric powder and chicken seasoning powder or salt. Heat up cooking oil in a pan and deep fry sardines until both sides turn crispy. Keep aside.
  3. B - In a colander, rinse preserved salted black beans under running water. Keep aside.
  4. C - Mix and combine ingredients in C. Put aside.
  5. Cooking and preparing the dish - In a deep pan, Sauté D until FINELY JULIENNED ginger turn aromatic and light brown. Add B (salted black beans) and then C (sauce mixture). Stir to mix. Season with E and lastly add A (fried sardines). Taste and adjust seasonings accordingly. It shouldnt be too salty or too sweet. Stir and coat fried sardines with the sauce. Then Transfer everything to a slow cooker (or use pressure cooker).
  6. Using a slow cooker, Cook on high for 2 hours and continue on low for 4 hours. Serve dish with warm rice.

Add the black beans and fry for another minute. Pour the sauce over the fish pieces, garnish. Anyway, this is my stir-fried fish fillet with black bean sauce. Unlike Malaysia, fish fillets are plentiful and can be easily found at Asian stores in the United States. I used sole fillet for this dish.
