Raw or Young Jackfruit as the name suggests is a smaller version of ripe jackfruit. I also like to cook these jackfruit fritters and store them in the refrigerator so that I can eat the jackfruits for a longer time. We get these ripe jackfruit in summers and then in the early rainy season. Jackfruit or Phanas (as said in Konkani), both raw and ripe, is commonly used in Konkani coconut Even jackfruit seeds are relished.

Steps to make Jackfruit Fritters:
  1. Jackfruit cubes boil in water by adding salt and turmeric powder and mashed it very well.
  2. Heat a pan by adding oil and saute the gram flour till the aoroma comes out
  3. Add chopped onion chopped, green chilli and fry for 5 min. Add cumin,coriander chilli,tuemeric powder and saute till the raw smell is disappear.
  4. Add garam masala and boiled jackfruit and fry for another 10 min on medium flame. Switch off the flame and let it cool.
  5. Now add salt,kasuri methi, mint and coriander leaves Knead well and make balls.
  6. Add oil in another pan and fry balls. The jackfruit fritters is ready to be served with tomato sauce.
