The ingredients needed to make Chicken Korma:
  1. Take 1/2 kg chicken with bones
  2. Get 1/2 cup fried onions(birista)
  3. Prepare 1 cup curd
  4. Make ready 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  5. Prepare 1 tsp green chilli paste
  6. Prepare 1.5 tsp zeera (cumin)powder
  7. Take 1 tsp dhania (Coriander)powder
  8. Get 2 tsp red chilli powder
  9. Prepare 1/2 tsp haldi( Turmeric powder)
  10. Take 1/2 tbsp garam masala powder
  11. Prepare 1/8 tsp zaiphal powder
  12. Prepare 3 cloves
  13. Get 1 inch stick dalchini
  14. Make ready 3 green elaichi(cardamom)
  15. Prepare 1 pinch elaichi (cardamom)powder
  16. Get 1/4 cup desi ghee
  17. Take 1-2 tsp kewra
  18. Get to taste Salt
Instructions to make Chicken Korma:
  1. Heat ghee in a vessel. Add the whole spices and let them splutter. Add the chicken and fry on a high flame for a few minutes. Now add ginger garlic paste and green chilli paste and mix well. Meanwhile grind the fried onions and curd to a paste and set aside.
  2. Add all the dry masala except zaiphal and elaichi powder to the chicken and roast it for 5 minutes. Now add the ground paste and mix well. Cover and cook the chicken. Keep checking after every few minutes and adding little water to it. Cook till the chicken is tender. The gravy should be thick. Lastly add the zaiphal powder, elaichi powder and the kewra water. Mix well. Enjoy with rice or parathas.
